Previously, Kate was senior account manager at Harmony Labs, a custom dermatological developer and manufacturer, where she managed the company's largest prestige beauty account. She managed the development and large-scale manufacture and distribution of over a hundred liquid and powder products. She also worked extensively with the R&D team to develop innovative, market-ready formulas for both new and existing customers. Prior to Harmony, Kate was the global product development manager on the Maybelline New York brand at L'Oréal, where she managed product development and marketing in the eye, nail and cosmetic tools categories. She modernized Maybelline's beauty tool and accessories line and also worked extensively on Maybelline's campaign to transition itself into the Maybelline New York brand. Prior to L'Oréal, Kate worked as an account executive for several mass and prestige beauty brands at Bratskeir & Co., a lifestyle public relations and marketing firm.

Kate lives in historic Capitol Hill, DC, with her husband Christopher, their sons Grey and Leo, and their golden retriever Layla.
